Rest In Peace Captain Tom
You showed us, in the darkest of times, how one act of determination can unite an entire nation.
You showed us, that it is never too late to leave your mark on this planet.
You made us believe that anything was possible and that our spirit was unbreakable, even though it felt so very broken at the time.
You gave us all the kick we needed, to pull our socks up and carry on.
You gave us all hope. And for that, we can’t ever thank you enough.
It is heartbreaking that you were taken by the very disease you campaigned for, raising more money than any single individual, ever.
Your money made a difference but most of all, it was your old school gumption which spurred us all on.
You will be remembered as a hero and a gentleman and you can rest knowing that you were loved by all.
Sleep well Sir.
You did good.
