Mental health during lockdown

We’re Not Supposed To Be Thriving, We’re Supposed To Be Surviving…

Advertisements

If you‘re wondering, why everyone around you seems to be learning, evolving and finding their inner peace…

They’re not.

They are possibly trying to.

They are saying it out loud, to make it more real maybe?

But the truth, the bottom line, in-your-face, bare-naked truth of all of this, is that we are all hanging on by our fingernails…

Just Surviving.

Nobody is thriving right now.

And that’s good. No it really is!

It would be downright weird if a global pandemic, wiping out our elders, raining grief on our world, was a cause for some sort of spiritual rebirth.

It’s not.

It’s awful.

But we are human.

And we are doing our very very best to remain positive, hopeful and inspirational.

Don’t be intimidated by what you see on social media – It’s a momentary glimpse of the positive hour, in what was probably a very mixed-manure-bag of a day.

This life we are living right now, it’s the worst.

We are not free.

We are alone.

We are freaked out.

We are grieving, collectively.

We are worried about the future.

We.

Are.

Hanging.

On.

By.

Our.

Fingernails.

Yes we should definitely be grateful BUT WE ARE STILL STRUGGLING.

So, if this is is you my friend, don’t read the fake news.

Watch the real news, once every other day.

That’s enough.

Read facebook with an open heart and mind – congratulate that mother for nailing the art project today. Tomorrow she may be on her knees with the stress.

TAKE IT HOUR BY HOUR.

You’re not supposed to be thriving right now.

It’s survival you’re after.

Do that.

Everything else is a bonus.
