And finally…I promise this time.
It’s the one (good thing) in this life that we just cannot control.
It chooses who it likes.
It does not discriminate.
Unlike the more darker powers of a similar nature; death, illness and depression, to name a few; love is a mystery as beautiful as it is complicated.
And after all this time we are all still COMPLETELY clueless as to how it works…if we could harness it and make it work for us, wow, things would be far less messy.
When William met Kate, we all sighed with recognition. “This is perfect, what a match, so well suited.”
Every box ticked nicely indeed. Lovely.
When Harry met Meghan, well, to be fair – it would have shocked us less if Harry had met Sally.
It took us all a beat or two to get there.
“She’s an actress, she’s been married before, she’s done raunchy sex scenes, her family is divided and (gasp) normal!”
Yes, it would be definitely true to say she was not exactly what was expected.
Isn’t that just wonderful.
Love chooses who it likes.
And let me tell you something, there is love there, of the most passionate order too. Can you see it? I really can…
Ladies and gentleman, at the end of the day we are just tiny little pawns in a very big game, we don’t really know the rules of play either.
You may think you are in control but you are not.
Trying to choose who you fall in love with is like trying to reverse time or gravity. It’s a force bigger than you.
Bigger than us all.
I like to think, indulge me here, that a certain beautiful soul in the sky had a hand in this whole affair….
As I said, wonderful.
Ladies, pass it on, the world needs as much love as it can get its mucky hands on.
