Pick up your baby.
Hold your precious little pudding.
Kiss, cuddle and adore them whilst they still allow you to do so.
There is no such thing as ‘spoiling’ a child with hugs, kisses, attention or affection… to say that was true, would also mean that there is such a thing as ‘too much love’, and we know that is just not so.
The years may feel long but in retrospect they are short. So short.
Spend them wisely. Hug as much as you want to, smother that beautiful baby of yours with kisses.
Feel no guilt at your need to hold them tight.
For no adult ever blamed his bad choices on a childhood filled with ‘too much love.’
No monster was ever made with cuddles.
No heartless beast was ever created with affection and security.
One thing we do know is that a baby who is never picked up learns never to cry.
Remember, it’s not our job to toughen our children up to face a cruel and heartless world. It’s our job to raise children who will make the world a little less cruel and heartless.
