Drop these habits like hot stones and watch your world open up like a flower…

THE NEED TO BE RIGHT. Let it go, it really isn’t important and the truth always come out in the end anyway, let it run its natural course and trust the process. Your relationships take a beating because of this habit.

HOLDING ON TO PAST FEARS & FAILURES. Just because it happened before doesn’t mean it will again, each day is a NEW day. Don’t allow yesterday’s clouds to overshadow today’s sun.

NEGATIVE SELF-TALK. If you could see the damage this does to you every day you would be bewildered at your choice of thoughts. Change them, flip them – the results will astound you.

THE NEED TO JUDGE OTHERS TO FEEL BETTER. We all do it. It’s a total waste of time and energy. Unscrewing someone else’s lightbulb will not make your shine more brightly.

CRITISCISING. Too many days in our lives are spent looking for faults, look for positives instead. This applies to everyone, everything and of course – no ESPECIALLY – yourself.

THE NEED TO BLAME OTHERS. The constant need to deflect blame and point the finger is an age-old defence mechanism many of us habitually do. It’s ugly. Blame will naturally fall where it must, it doesn’t need you to drive it.

PROCRASTINATING. If you really don’t want to do something, look at your reasons why – perhaps they are valid and if they are, then DON’T do it. Procrastination steals your inner peace as that niggling voice tells you what you ‘should’ be doing. Shut it down and just do it. Or don’t.

NOT BEING PRESENT. So many of us live in the ‘what if’s’ or the past. It is a skill to actually be present right here, right now. Learning this skill will deliver the world to you on a plate – better than any screen could deliver. Look, listen, be.

PEOPLE PLEASING. This is a giant waste of your time because no matter how much you bend yourself, it will never be enough and you will NEVER please everyone. Do things for the right reasons and not to gain praise. Be your own cheerleader.

LIMITING BELIEFS. You may not even realise how many you have; ‘I can’t do that’, ‘People like me don’t go there’, ‘I don’t have the skills for this’…. no, you may not right now, but you could. Of course you could. Anyone can do ANYTHING. If we all removed our limiting beliefs there would literally be no stopping us. Chip away at them, one at a time… it will be the best thing you ever did.
