This is the youngest you will ever be – and the oldest you have ever been.
Yes, you have been happier than this before but you have also been a great deal sadder too.
The thing is, Christmas is right around the corner – and at Christmas – we tell the truth…
Your life is not perfect and no, not everyone can be with you.
Your problems will not magically be solved by a Christmas miracle and yes, January will hit hard – the down after the high.
Life? It’s wonderful, then awful, then wonderful, then awful again. It’s a circle, we all get our share of good and bad.
So really, there is nothing else for it, nothing else other than to be here right now.
To plunge yourself head first into the festivities and to open your arms, your heart and your home to anyone who cares to be welcomed in.
To look around you, feel the magic, believe anything can happen and be absolutely resoundingly grateful for who and what you have.
Last year, so many people spent Christmas completely oblivious to the fact that it would be their last. So many loved ones let the washing up or the family politics annoy them – now they would wash up for the entire world if they could spend just one more moment with those who passed.
You know what they say…
Eat, Drink & be Merry, for tomorrow is promised to no one and today is totally and utterly a gift – that’s why we call it the present.
What more could you need?
