For those who love something a little different…
I am often approached to do ‘sponsored posts’ and in general I say no, simply because I like to keep this site as a place where women can come for unbiased opinions, views and inspiration.
However, it is the ‘Most Wonderful Time Of The Year’ and as I also like to provide practical advice, a gift-guide is a must!
So, when this company approached me a few days ago I was immediately all over it… they are pretty special and a veritable treasure trove full of amazing, quirky and stunning gift ideas from a wealth of talented designers and crafters.
I am one of those people who loves Christmas with a passion but when it comes to the buying of gifts, I am always on the lookout for the latest, most charming ideas – no tired old pair of the same socks from me every year – no siree!
So, without further ado, allow me to introduce you to THE UNCOMMON GOODS COMPANY!
This will be my only gift guide because, well, they have it all!
(This is a U.S based company who now ship to the UK so hopefully this will cater for a large part of our readership)
THE UNCOMMON GIFT COMPANY
There is something on their site for pretty much everyone, let’s have a look at a few of my favourites from a few gift-buying ‘problem areas’ I encounter each year and then off you go and lose yourself in their site, you will love it!
BUYING FOR FRIENDS
This can be tricky; we want to spoil our besties but at the same time the list of who to buy for grows every year, with every child born within your circle and so budgets can perhaps be strained! How about this little gem… will get them giggling too!
Or perhaps something useful and pretty like this genius hair-tie bangle! I am bad for wrapping bands around my wrist during the day and cutting off my circulation, this will solve all that and looks ace – can I buy it for myself?
BUYING FOR TEENS
It can’t just be me who is completely clueless when it comes to the ever so cool teenagers on our Christmas Gift lists? What about this quirky ‘hear me roar’ necklace (it says meaow on the reverse – love it)!
For me, christmas is all about the little touches that are personal to you and make you feel like someone has put some thought into your gift. Let’s face it, we all have far too much in the way of possessions, so the stocking fillers, as we call them are really where the fun lies. How about this super cute ‘grow your own Christmas Tree’ tin? What a fab little treat for all of us, watching it grow each year would be a great family activity right?
So, ladies, Happy Shopping – I hope you find everything you need on there and I am pretty sure you will. Now, I better get writing my letter to Santa because I have fallen in love with this….😄
