HOW TO BE A PERFECT PARENT
RULE NO 1:
Stop trying to be a perfect parent…
because whilst you waste time wondering if your parenting is good enough, if your child is good enough and if you are keeping up with everyone else, you are quite likely missing an entire childhood.
You are quite likely missing all the signals your child is sending you, which if paid attention to, will secure their future happiness.
You are highly likely to be missing the fabulous little quirks your child is developing that could be honed into unique and wonderful life skills and you are definitely missing the fabulousness of watching in wonder as a little sparkly personality is forged.
RULE NO 2:
(see rule number one…)
No child is a robot and no parent has all the answers. You have given life to an amazing little creature – love them, stand back and watch them grow.
What everyone else is doing is their business and if they are insistent on projecting their judgements onto your child, it’s most likely validation they require, for nothing irks the ‘perfect parents’ more than a parent who lets her child be themselves.
