WOMEN VS MEN: PACKING FOR HOLIDAY/ packing/ women packingWOMAN:

Starts mentally preparing a few weeks/months previously, imaging all scenarios to cater for and creating capsule wardrobes in her head. Browsing for outfit ideas for everyone in the house and reading articles on how to pack for that pareticular holiday.

Starts list writing and buying all necessities a few weeks before packing begins – carefully crossing off items as they are purchased, washed and ironed.

Packs for all possible weather including at least 3 extreme weather situations.

Packs everything possibly required by all people living in the house or going on the trip (even packs and writes list for the dog’s/cat’s carers or holiday homw).

Packs first aid, medicine and enough toiletries to open a branch of Boots.

Spends a full day choosing between a possible 10 pairs of shoes and narrowing to down to 3. Changes mind on this regularly until day of trip and throws in another pair.

Prepares a bag of ‘holiday’ accessories to cleverly match every outfit (jewellery, bags, belts).

Packs a flight bag that has absolutely anything and everything anyone taking a flight could ever possibly need. If children are involved this can be an eye-watering amount of items. Makes it somehow fit into a cabin bag and has the ability to whip out just the right item at just the right time.

Spend the night before unpacking and repacking to get it just right and possibly squeeze in a few more essential items.

MAN:

Finds plastic bag and puts in shades, toothbrush and razor.

Moans about how much stuff she has packed.

Is this how it works in your house ladies? Let me know!
