YOU CAN DO TONIGHT!
World Book Day – the struggle is real. Don’t get me wrong I love books and anything to do with encouraging kids to love them is fantastic in my book (do you see what I did there?) but let’s be honest, we have enough on our plates and a little help goes a long way!
Have you left it too late for World Book Day this week?
Panic not, here are some fail-safe ideas we can all pull together from around the house!
The simplicity! A bandage on head and a blue t-shirt, blue jeans and hey presto!
A Duffle coat, wellies and any kind of red hat and you have Paddington! Add a name-tag, a suitcase and a jar of Marmalade and you are on fire…
Could not be any easier to recreate this famous book character…blue jumper, brown trousers and a quiff. Did I say couldn’t be easier???!!
ALIENS LOVE UNDERPANTS
Deelyboppers, any kind of furry PJ’s/ onesie and some underpants over the top and you have recreated perfectly a character from this much-loved book!! Genius!
CHARLIE & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY
Make a Golden Ticket (you can print them out free here! (https://uk.pinterest.com/explore/golden-ticket/) and dress in plain old clothes and wow – you have a Charlie!
What about a Veruca Salt? Pretty dress and tights and you are done! Violet Beauregarde? Tracksuit – it’s that easy!
You get the idea, the only tough one to pull off is Wonka himself, maybe next year!
Here is the man himself done by my very clever friend Claire and her son a couple of years back – how fab is this?!
And ladies, if all else fails and you really can’t pull anything together – there’s always Mr Forgetful…😜
